The effects of point-injection of own blood mixed with gamma-globulin on plasma cortisol and cyclic nucleotides in the guinea pig , plasma cortisol and cyclic nucleotides in the guinea pig of asthma were investigated. Results indicated that after inhalation of senstinogen in the sensitized guinea pig, plasma cortisol , cAMP and cAMP/cGMP ratio decreased obviously. Acupoint-injection of own blood and gamma-globulin could increase plasma cortisol, cAMP levels and cAMP/cGMP ratio (P<0.001, P<0.05 and P<0.05) as compared with the model group respectively; The contents of cortisol and cAMP, and cAMP/cGMP ratio could be raised in the point-injection of simple own blood, point-injection of simple gamma-globulin and intramuscular injection of own blood mixed with gamma –globulin, but the increases were not so obvious. In the experiment it is proved that point-injection therapy of own blood mixed with gamma-globulin can effectively treat asthma.
